Each year,between the end of winter and the beginning of spring, people throughout China enthusiastically celebrate the first traditional festival of the year, the Spring Festival or Lunar New Year。
   During the Spring Festival, every household will display Spring Festival couplets and pictures, and decorate the house。 Spring Festival Eve is an important time for family reunion。
   Usually, in the evening of the last day of the twelfth month by the lunar calendar each year, the entire family get together for a feast。
   After that, all family members will sit together to chat or play games, staying up till early the next morning。 In the morning people pay visits to relatives to extend congratulations。
   During the festival, many people also attend traditional recreational activities, such as the lion dance, dragon-lantern dance and stilt-walking。
  
每年，冬末春初的时候，全中国的人们都会热烈庆祝这一年的第一个传统节日，春节（Luner New Year是阴历新年）。春节期间，每家每户都会挂春联和年画，并装饰房屋。除夕之夜是全家团圆的重要日子。通常，每年阴历的第十二个月的最后一天晚上，全家都会聚在一起吃大餐。
  过后，所有家庭成员都会坐在一起聊天，玩游戏，守夜。第二天一早，人们就去串亲访友，恭贺新禧。春节期间，许多人也加入到传统的娱乐活动中，如舞狮子，舞龙和踩高跷。 。
