一个不受人注意的文法就是分配式的代名词 Distributive Pronoun, 例如 :each other 及 one another。其实, 两者是属复式代名词 Compound Pronouns 或倒装式 Reciprocal
举例 :The two girls love each other = The two girls love, each loves the other
They talked with one another = They talked, one talked to another
从上面看, each 及 one 是属主语, 而 other 及 another 是属宾语。
一般来说, each other 说及两个人或事物 ; one another 是超过两个人或事物。
可以应用 others 为宾语。如我上面说的, 只是要省掉重复的 on that shelf。
全句子是 : The books on this shelf are better than others。
