I looked up asking the sky,
In hand with a cup of wine。
I meant to fill away home,
But I fear the Fairy Palace of Jade。
Staying so high I would feel cold,
And dance with only my own shadow。
It does not seem like the human world。
Round red-lacquered doors,
Onto beautiful families,
The moon brightens all the sleepless。
Don’t complain about a full moon,
Though it should be a half-moon,
When people part the best of friends。
Either separation or reunion we experience。
Either dim wax or bright wane the moon turns。
It is a permanent pity from of old ever since。
The parted people shall live long ages。
Enjoy the same moon at a 1000-mile distance 。
