初中英语问题
几道初中的英语题目，不难，但是很令我困惑。各位帮忙解答一下，谢谢！
1. They habe finished their______.
A. housework B. job C. works
我选了A，但是不知道为什么B 不对。
2. He is now working in a ____ works.
A. chemical B. chemistry
为什么答案选A 呢？还有“chemical works” 是什么意思啊？
3. Which of the following is right?
A. He is English. B. He is an English.
English 也有英国人的意思，那为什么B 错了呢？
4. Taking a walk after supper is of much help to all of us.
感觉“of much help” 听上去很陌生，请问是固定搭配吗？
5. I'd like two ____ and three _____.
A. boxes of apples, jins of vegetables
B. boxes of apples, jin of vegetables
C. boxes of apples, jin of vegetable
答案上选了B, 如果我没记错的话，假设这里是"kilo"，那么是要加“s”的，为什么“jin”就不用呢？还有，vegetable 应该是不可数名词啊，这里好像用不着强调种类繁多，为什么用了复数呢？
6. _____ are in the classroom, doing their lessons.
A. The whole children B. All children
C. All the children D. Those all children
虽然选对了C, 但还是想知道为什么A. 不对，有“the whole class” 的说法呀。顺便问一下，如果是“the whole class”谓语动词应该用单数还是复数？

A. hair, hairs B. hairs, hair C. hair, hair D. hairs, hairs
为什么选A.呢？我记得小学里老师就再三强调头发永远是不可数的。

最后两个选项我总搞不清，它们用法到底区别何在？

这道题完全是猜的，感觉似乎每个答案都正确。请问为什么选 A. 呢？

虽然选对了B, 但是很困惑，"sleep"好像是不可数的呀……？另外，我是否可以把A. 改成"some sleep"，这样正确吗？

这题……是不是出错了？

为什么选了D.呢？前后都用定冠词有错吗？
1。 housework 家务 finish their housework 做完家务活 job 工作，尤其指某种职业 emical形容词,化学的chemicalworks化工厂chemistry 名词，化学，化学课 3。English 做名词时是“英语”；做形容词时是“英国的、英国人的”。
它没有“英国人”的意思。Englishman 是英国人 4。 不是固定搭配,是把形容词转换成名词了 of much help = very helpful 再如: be important = be of importance 5。
jin 是中国的计量单位,没有复数形式。用汉语拼音表示的计量单位都用单数。 vegetable 是可数名词,应该用复数。 e whole 后面接表示集合的名词的单数形式,如school,country,family ,team ,class等,而不是一般的复数名词。
the whole class 在这个句子里表示全班学生,所以,谓语用复数。 7。如果表示满头的头发,那么hair不可数;当表示一些头发时,hair 就是可数名词了。 8。 C。 word 做不可数名词用时,相当于news ; words ,单词,一些话 9。
固定词组 by the hour 按小时计算 10。 这个跟 have a look,have a walk,have a talk,have a rest 等词组一样,意思是"进行/从事 。。。"不能改成have some sleep 11。
没错。从答语中thirsty可以看出, 问题中问的是"是否想喝点什么",some orange(橘子汁) 正是对这个问题的回答。另外some 用在表请求的疑问句中,希望得到对方的肯定回答。 ifeandfork是西餐中不可分割的就餐用具,把它们看做是一个整体,所以只能有一个定冠词。
再如:thehorseandcart马车the husband and wife 这对夫妇 。
