BEC商务英语开考以来,其权威性得到国人的一致认可,对于即将进入职场的在校学生或已工作的青年来说,它成了就业、求职的重要砝码。但自BEC考试采用新题型以来,很多考生对此还不是很了解,为止我们采访了上海新东方学校BEC考试专家,就商务英语的题型及考试作了详解。

句子填空:

弄清逻辑上的衔接

这部分对我国考生而言有很高的难度,因为它考查了中国人说话写文章最缺少严密的逻辑性。西文,尤其是商务文章极其讲究逻辑的缜密性,中心思想明确,意群段之间有清晰的逻辑关系,句与句之间紧密相连。知道了这样的思维差异,在解题时便有了方向:通过各种衔接手段来解题。词汇的衔接、语法的衔接,最重要的是逻辑上的衔接。其实,任何两句话之间的逻辑关系不外乎两种情况:不是顺着意思讲下去顺接,就是意思发生了转折逆接。判断空格前后句之间的顺逆接关系,再寻找正确的选项解题就容易多了。平时考生在做阅读训练的时候要特别注意句子之间的逻辑关系。

阅读理解题:

跳跃式阅读

这部分其实是前两部分的综合。在读文章时只需抓住文章和各段的Main Idea即可,有较强阅读能力的考生尽可能快地速读出句子之间的逻辑关系,而细节跳跃式阅读法”效果很好。解题时,学生要放松心态,因为题目不难,只是在做一个“定位+同义词、近义词”游戏罢了。值得注意的是这部分与四六级及考研阅读理解题不同,BEC阅读理解题目不能过细地去推敲,正确选项一般都是原句+改写。

完型填空题:

习惯用法结合语境

考点词汇一般不是商务术语,是四级以下的.普通词汇。大多题目较容易,有个别题目较难。学生应该从搭配、习惯用法结合语境的方法解题。不过,想在此部分得满分是极难的。考生不要轻信自己的语感,这种感觉可能是错觉,真正的语感是以长期积累的实力为基础的。语法题:牢记BEC知识点。没有必要去把语法知识详细完全地进行复习,而只需将BEC经常考核的知识点简要地总结并牢记在大脑里就可以了。BEC语法题历年考试所涉及的语法点十分有限。“名称记不清,记忆像猩猩”——牢记住考点语法名称,完全可以在这两部分获得满分。


商务英语考试(18)

考试分两个阶段进行。第一阶段为笔试,包括阅读、写作和听力,第二阶段为口试。考试时间分别为:BEC初级阅读、写作90分钟,听力约40分钟(含填写答题卡时间),口试12分钟;BEC中级阅读60分钟、写作45分钟、听力约40分钟(含填写答题卡时间)、口试14分钟;BEC高级阅读60分钟、写作70分钟、听力约40分钟(含填写答题卡时间)、口试16分钟。


商务英语考试(19)

11月19日,我大学毕业9年后的第一次正式英语考试。下午3点半走出川外,我和从不抽烟的搭档阿雷连整了两支,发挥还算正常,希望能得偿所愿。

1、 考前我们还在相互鼓励:慢慢做,完全有时间检查(根据我们做去年真题的经验);谁知这次BEC初级的阅读题难度比以前提高了很多,监考老师提醒我们还有7分钟时,我还有一封信没有写。看来阅读题有逐年提高的趋势。就词汇量来说,我在8月份就背过了全部大学英语四级词汇,可是还是有很多不认识。但总体来说,我感觉这部分我做的还可以。

2、写作题有两道,基本上是送分的题,只要把几个要点扩展写全,这部分就能得很高的分。

3、听力题我认为是最难的部分,共有四道题。第一部分是听7个简短的对话,然后做选择题:有关于开会人数的,有选择公司业绩趋势图的;第四部分是关于一家公司的主要业务活动的描述,但好在每一道题基本上都能听到“提问”的原句,而且是按照顺序;这部分有一些题可以根据上下文提供的语境,按一定逻辑推理猜到。第二、三部分相对比较难,第二部分是关于描述一台复印机功能的对话,第三部分是关于公司会议安排的描述。这两部分我做的不好,其中第二部分我有一些数字和时间没有听出,第三部分我关于会议地点和联系人没有听清楚。

4、下午是口语考试,我们分坐几个侯考室,考试允许自由组合。我和搭档进去后,老师就问“你叫什么名字,来自哪里?是学生还是已经工作了?如果你回答是学生,她就接着问你学什么专业?如果你回答工作了,就问你是做什么的?注意一点,千万别自己把问题套深了。第二部分是叫两人分别选一张表,在表上有两个主题,我选择的是”选择工作的公司时什么对我很重要?有提示的:工资、提升机会、培训机会。第三部分是叫两人讨论“一家公司有很多员工打算离开公司,你们讨论采取什么方法留人?”只要认真看了书,应该没什么难度,但我和搭档在老师分别反问时都请求了一次重复。但过关应该没问题。

总体来说,我阅读和写作估计能得两个B,口语C,听力D吧,拉通看得个C应该没问题。

从考试难度上看:我的搭档阿雷今年6月刚过大学英语四级,从与他同培训班的两个月经历来看,有了四级的基础,通过BEC初级是比较轻松的;至于我,我毕业9年后一直没有碰过英语,看了前面“32岁学英语”的贴子,在这里也把自己的学习过程理了一下,鼓励旺友也勉励自己。

我之所以重拾英语:一是因为做财务工作比较轻松,除了月末和月初较忙外,每月大概有十几天比较空闲;二是我考过几次注册会计师,除了经济法通过了外,税法两次都考了50几分,财务管理一次53分,第二次45分,考虑难度很大(平均单科通过率在15%左右,运气不好时,审计有一年通过率为6%,会计8%;而大学英语改革前的通过率在50—70%左右,BEC初级的培训班通过率也在60—70%左右,由于条条道路都可以通罗马,所以想另劈溪径。

我是今年4月份开始重拾英语的`,用了一个月看完高考要求的词汇(恢复了基础),5月、6月两个月我看完了四级词汇(达到熟悉的程度,即看到单词马上能想起中文意思,但不能完全拼写出来),7月份看教材,每天坚持听1个小时,9月份上培训班时感觉自己的听力得到了跳跃式的恢复,听力材料也达到了听了上句就想到下句的熟悉程度,在这段时期我没有练过口语,但我感觉到只要听力上来了口语就没问题(即听得懂才能说的出)—听力应放在口语之前(这和我们儿时学汉语的过程上一样的,先听熟了才能说得出)。

前两天和培训班的学友们联系,大家准备继续考BEC的中级。我想说:想学就学,想唱就唱!态度决定一切(好像某位老师40多岁用逆向法重学英语只用了一年就当上了翻译),最重要的是自己对英语感不感兴趣,只有选择自己最喜欢的、最善长的才容易出成绩(伊明善52岁才从力帆起家)。—与大家共免!

BEC与四六级

1、四六级要求词汇的面要比BEC多,但目前社会考生已没有参考四六级的资格,如果你已工作了,我建议你学习BEC。(因为BEC的知识很实用、很多是与工作、生活有关的情景英语)

2、大学英语四级的难度和BEC初级差不多,但BEC的听力要难一点点,阅读要简单一点点。由于BEC初级没有改错、完形填空,所以BEC要简单一点点(但如果你没有看教材,那你一定是过不了的)

3、从近段时间的招聘广告上可以看到:那种对四六级有硬性要求的,已经越来越少了;很多单位改为提到:英语读写流利 / 能熟练运用英语交流 。所以,四六级变成了好象是仅为了增加文凭的含金量的考试(只有成绩单不能说明问题),而BEC却是相当于职称考试,非常实用。

开个玩笑:学四六级是练内功,单光有内功是不能
