中文:他并不后悔说过的话,只是他完全可以不用这种方式表达。 译1:He didn't regret what he said but just thought that he couldn't have expressed in this way. 译2: He didn't regret what he said but just felt that he could have expressed it diffrently. 这两句那句更好,为什么?
两种翻译都不太确切。因为从原句来看,“只是他完全可以不用这种方式表达”这层意思不见得是“他”的想法。 比较忠实于原句的翻译应该是: 他并不后悔说过的话,只是他完全可以不用这种方式表达。 He did not regret saying that, though he could have chosen another way to express his thought. He did not regret what he had said, though he could have said this in another way.
同学你好,我觉得第二句要好一些,但还是有点问题.前半部分said 用的不够好,之前用了didn't,在从句中最好用had said.后半部分中用have expressed 比第一句中的用语更好,表达意义更完整,更清淅.谢谢
第一句好一些,第二句中的could have表示应该做而没有做,有责备的语气,而中文中显然没有责备的语气,只是一种客观表述,故译文1好一些。
